The device has been created keeping in the fact that people experience problems while traveling and need to keep their cell phones charged in case of an emergency. You need to look at the capacity of the power bank before you buy one for yourself. The capacity of a power bank is measured in milli Ampere Hour i.e. maH. The more would be the maH of a power bank, the more would be its efficiency of charging. To take an example, for a cell phone with a 1500 maH battery, a power bank with a capacity of 5000 maH would be perfect.Thus; you need to determine your requirements of your phone.

2. USB charging:
The current power banks have a built- in USB charging capability. The older ones did not have this feature. They had a separate device for that. The new power banks just have an adapter through which the power bank can be connected to the cell phone once the power bank is fully charged at home. The better quality power banks come with a separate set of connectors for different cell phones like apple, Samsung, sony etc.

3. Quality and price:
Apart from looking at the battery and durability, you also should check out the price. It is recommended to not go in for a power bank with refurbished batteries or one which lacks basic features like short-circuit or over-charging protection.

4. Portability:
The usage of a power bank arises mainly because it is portable, meaning; you can carry it from one place to another. You should not go in for an inexpensive one with huge capacity. You should always go in for one that lies between the mid range and the upper range.
